Eco-friendly baby carriers
Didymos is presenting a new combination of materials at Kind + Jugend. Flowing soft fabric processed into the classic baby sling through to the ‘DidyFix’ full-buckle carrier.

Until recently, Didymos had turned its back on the use of viscose, as the conventional production of viscose is very water-intensive and energy-intensive. However, one manufacturer is working at the highest ecological level with a new process in a completely closed water cycle and energy from purely renewable sources. This lyocell viscose is now also labelled as environmentally friendly by Didymos. The new baby carriers consist of 60 % certified organic cotton and 40 % Tencel. This combination of materials is absorbent and stays cool and airy even in warm weather. They are also easy to care for, machine washable and easier to iron than fabrics made from linen or hemp, for example. The first viscose models will be available in the popular ‘Trias’ design.
