The event, organised by IFEMA, will start one day earlier than originally planned, after discovering, during the first round of presentations of the new salon in different production areas, the general opinion from brands that they would prefer the fair to be held over the weekend.

Right from the very first edition, this new show, which has been commissioned by Ifema with the support of the industry, aims to become a major meeting point for Spain's footwear and accessories brands and specialised retailers.  

This first edition of MOMAD Shoes foresees the participation of more than 400 footwear and handbag exhibitors and brands, and is expected to attract a significant number of national and international buyers from over 70 different countries.

With MOMAD Shoes, Ifema once again gives the Footwear sector its own space at Ifema by holding its first ever edition separate from the multi-sector Momad Metrópolis show, where footwear had coexisted with textiles and accessories since September 2013.

The last MOMAD Metrópolis event took place in September 2015 and saw a 60% increase in the floor space devoted to footwear as compared to the previous season.
