Licensing deal
Cologne-based, German broadcaster SuperRTL is expanding its partnership with DreamWorks Animation, particularly in the baby/toddler segment.
The licences from DreamWorks Baby include the television characters from ”Shrek”, “Kung Fu Panda” and “Madagascar”.

Family brands from DreamWorks such as Shrek and Madagascar are to be brought to the youngest target group with the help of the new DreamWorks Baby brand.
Starting in autumn 2015, SuperRTL will initially launch two new series: “The Adventures of Puss in Boots” and “King Julien”. This will be complemented with the spin-off series based on the successful box-office hits “Shrek” and “Madagascar”. Moreover, the third Kung Fu Panda film will take to the big screen in spring 2016. The DreamWorks Baby brand will be introduced just as these new series and films are released.
DreamWorks Animation intends for the characters in the product categories clothing, accessories, interior, decorations and crockery to be drawn in such a way that they have great appeal for toddlers.
