Toyzeria: Relevant B2B Platform
The 8th Toyzeria/Kids Turkey recorded 8,987 visitors from 42 countries who came to round up information about the latest product assortments.
Between 28 October and 1 November 2015, the Istanbul Expo Center was the meeting point for 120 exhibitors (2014: 117) from 11 countries. The international industry trade fair thus strengthened its status as the most relevant B2B platform for the toy industry in the Near and Middle East.
“The trade fair turnout saw the most important contact partners and decision-makers”, so the summary of Fatih Ciğerlioğlu, Managing Director of Spielwarenmesse Middle East Fuarcılık Ltd. Şti., a subsidiary of Spielwarenmesse eG. “This generated an intensive exchange and quality talks during the entire trade fair.” The next fair is scheduled to take place between 27 and 30 October 2016 as the Kids Turkey, which clearly signals its affiliation with the international trade fair portfolio of Spielwarenmesse eG.
Prior to the Kids Turkey, market players were able to locate their matching contacts for talks to be held during the fair. The new matchmaking programme made it easier for professional visitors and exhibitors to choose their right contact partners at www.kidsturkey.com/en for their enquiries and to schedule appointments.
The World of Toys Pavilion of Spielwarenmesse eG was also highly frequented. This year saw 11 exhibitors from 8 countries (China, Denmark, India, Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, UK and Germany) introduce their products at the shared booth.
Ernst Kick, CEO Spielwarenmesse eG, emphasised its importance for the trade fair: “Visitors benefit from an even larger selection of products and international business opportunities. We are extremely pleased that manufacturers showed major interest in the toy market in the Near and Middle East. Businesses realise that times of economic challenge also present an opportunity to attract attention.”
Spielwarenmesse eG supports exhibiting companies with their international trade fair programme and provides plenty of information upon entering the respective market. The Turkish Ministry of Economy also relies on an international exchange. It provided financial assistance for the visit of selected buyers from roughly 20 countries to the trade fair in order to promote exports from Turkish manufacturers.
“Next year, the trade fair will be held as the Kids Turkey from Thursday to Sunday, 27 - 30 October 2016”, announced Fatih Ciğerlioğlu. “This completes the change in name which further clarifies the affiliation with Spielwarenmesse eG and the international fairs that it organises.”
