In a difficult period for the industry, the fair has seen a remarkable presence of high quality distribution companies in Florence. More than 40 % of these companies are international, taking into account both the return of established markets and the development of new ones. Among the twelve main international markets, the figures for Germany, Switzerland and the United States are increasing. Buyers from Russia and China are returning, and new markets such as Brazil, South Korea and the Middle East are also gaining presence. Special events and new presentation formats have enlivened Fortezza and introduced the trends for the next children's fashion season. “This edition of Pitti Bimbo”, said Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, “consolidates the fair's recovery course after the COVID-19 pandemic. The expected number of 2000 buyers is in line with last summer's numbers. The number of stores and retailers remains the same, confirming the buying power of the participating companies.” About 230 exhibitors presented fashion, textiles, accessories, care and other products for children's everyday life at Pitti Bimbo.

“The feedback we have received at the stands these days underlines the quality of the buyers present and their international diversity, which is currently a key driver of sales for children's clothing companies”, Napoleone added. The Petite Parade, which took place between the stands of the Cavaniglia pavilion, was very well received. But also events planned by exhibitors, including Nanan, Fun&Fun, Dolce&Gabbana – performances and formats, brought the Fortezza to life during the three days. The highlight was the fashion show in the Sala della Ronda, where Miniconf celebrated its 50th anniversary. To bring together buyers, press and influencers, there was a Pitti Olympics and the “Summer Look In 1 Minute!” curated by Paul&Paula, events at Casa Enriquez, a sustainability talk by Pirouette and the Style Piccoli exhibition “Playing with Fairy Tales”.
