The coveted prizes are the renowned Innovation Awards, the Kids Design Award, presented for the second time, and the Consumer Awards from several countries including Germany, Poland, Russia and the Netherlands. The presentation ceremony starts on Thursday, 10 September, at 10am in Hall 10.1 B40/C41. The Consumer Awards will be presented from 12pm. Innovation Awards

The Innovation Awards go to outstanding and innovative products that are being unveiled for the first time at Kind + Jugend and are due to appear at retail outlets in the coming season. This is a coveted award and an internationally recognised sales promotion tool. Like every year, the winners are selected in eight categories by an international team of experts. This year, manufacturers of 175 products are vying for the popular trophies.

Kids Design Award

The Kids Design Award promotes product concepts and studies that have not yet appeared in the trade. The award singles out ideas, designs and concepts of outstanding quality. Besides the opportunity to win the award, ten designers also have the chance to clinch a product sponsorship with selected industry representatives. The objective is to join forces and bring the design to market within the space of a year. 252 budding designers from 40 countries have responded to the call. A jury of experts has selected the ten most promising prototypes (Hall 10.1 A70) – one of which will be pronounced the winner.

Consumer Awards

The Consumer Awards are presented to the best children’s outfitting products from all over the world, as voted for by consumers. International manufacturers and retailers will receive valuable information about products here that are already major hits in their respective
countries of origin. The voting results with all the winners and nominees will be revealed in the Consumer Awards Area in Hall 10.1 C70/D71. Trade buyers can view the results over the entire duration of the trade fair.
