When we talk about sustainable trends in our editorial office, one thing is clear: the future of our children is at the centre of our attention. This is precisely where the Green Product Award comes in, which has been setting international standards for sustainable innovations since 2013. Particularly exciting for our industry is the Kids category, which recognises products that are not only functional and aesthetically appealing, but also designed with responsibility and sustainability in mind. In 2026, the Green Product Award will once again invite companies and start-ups worldwide to submit their sustainable products and services. In its 13th edition, the international award will recognise forward-looking solutions in 14 categories – from architecture and consumer goods to mobility and new materials. The jury of independent experts from the fields of design, industry and science evaluates strictly according to criteria such as innovation, design and sustainability. With the seal of the Green Future Club, an NGO and competence platform, award-winning products also receive recognised third-party confirmation, which is also important in view of upcoming EU regulations. For manufacturers in the kids' segment, participation offers much more than just visibility: they become part of an international benchmark community that sets standards and provides guidance for the market. The early bird submission deadline with the option for Dutch Design Week ends on 15 September, the regular bird submission deadline on 15 November, and on 8 December the finalists will be announced and the public vote will begin.
