„For being a first time show we are really pleased“, says Bo Magnusson, Porject Manager at BraMässor Sverige who together with the Swedish Toy & Baby Association have initiated Blob Forum.
   
„Anopen trade fair like Blob is something the industry needs and wants. The premiere was ok for us, and we hope that we together can build on the event to become bigger and even better,“ says Anette Malmqvist from Butterick's Leco, a large toy manufacturer and retailer in Sweden. 
   
It has been a number of years since Sweden had its own toy and baby fairs. Organizing a merged fair is the result of the the two industries becoming more and more unified and many retailers offering both types of products. Blob Forum will be organized twice a year, once in the spring and once in the autumn. 
   
Apart from seeing the exhibitors and all their new products visitors attended seminars about e-commerce, social media and the latest toy and baby trends. Special Guest was Reyne Rice, the famous toy expert flown in from USA.
    
In the ”Games Café” visitors were able to try out the nominated games in the Game of the Year competition. On the exhibition floor valuable meetings were held, business was made and people could network with industry colleagues. In the evening there was a reception and sold out dinner with entertainment as well as the presentation of the winners of the prestigous Golden Dice, the Award in the Game of the Year competition.
   
The next Blob Forum will be held on March 29-30, 2017.
